Hi, my name is Mel, and I am the Manager of Operations for the S.O.E Basketball Program! I bring over 20 years of leadership experience in the human service field, specifically serving the vulnerable sector. My true passion lies in supporting children, youth, and their families as they strive to reach their highest potential—whether on the basketball court, in their school studies, or through developing crucial life skills.
Here at S.O.E, I am dedicated to serving our players and coaching staff daily. I manage the administrative duties and day-to-day logistics to ensure our entire program runs smoothly. I am also your direct point of contact for any questions or concerns—I am always here to listen, support, and find positive remedies for our basketball community.

Hello! I’m Coach LB formally known as Laura
Welcome to the S.O.E. program. I bring 10 + years of competitive playing experience and 6 years of coaching youth basketball programs.
I love coaching because basketball is a powerful tool for teaching life skills such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork. Watching a young athletes transformation, is a true honor!
My goal is to provide an environment where youth can sharpen their basketball fundamentals, excel at a high level and learn to love the true value of the game!
I am not a players coach, I’m a great players coach. So if you want to be great, we’ll get along just fine.
The one thing you must know about me is that I LOVE the game of basketball. And if I can share that with everyone I work with, we can leave the game in a better place than when we found it. I know what the game has done for me personally, and my goal is to pour into the athletes, the same way my coaches poured into me. I truly believe in excellence and execution at the highest level, and seek to embody that in everything I do.
